STC - Synthetic Turf Council

AstroTurf ® is proud to be a member of the Synthetic Turf Council (STC). The STC was formed to guide the selection and use of synthetic turf systems. The STC develops documents and guidelines that facilitate communication and good business practices between all parties to the synthetic turf systems.

The STC encourages professionals, consultants, manufacturers, suppliers, specialty service providers, builders and testing laboratories to become involved and participate in the shaping of the industry.

FIFA - Fédération Internationale de Football Association

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association ("FIFA") is the game's worldwide governing body and in accordance to that role, FIFA has a stringent process for companies wishing to install
FIFA RECOMMENDED fields.

AstroPlay® N55 installed at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England has been certified as meeting the FIFA RECOMMENDED 1 STAR. The field surface continues to meet FIFA's stringent guidelines for synthetic turf set forth by the FIFA Quality Concept for Football turf.

EHF - European Hockey Federation

The European Hockey Federation (EHF) and AstroTurf, LLC. synthetic sports surfacing have entered into a sponsorship agreement which sees the turf's position as the official supplier of synthetic field hockey pitches to the
organisation. The agreement between AstroTurf and the EHF extends the
organisations' formal sponsorship, which first began in 1994.

Astroturf's selection by the EHF as the organisation's official synthetic turf was a natural choice since the system is the world's most popular field hockey surface. First offered in 1965, AstroTurf ® is engineered to preserve field hockey's necessary "wet" characteristics without excessive watering, which allows the sport's ideal playing conditions to be maintained longer with less overall water usage.

FIH - International Hockey Federation

AstroTurf is proud to be among the selective few International Hockey Federation (FIH) approved synthetic turf pitch manufacturers. Our AstroTurf ® Field Hockey Turf Systems pass the stringent guidelines set forth in the FIH handbook, Performance Requirements and Test Procedures for Synthetic Hockey Pitches - Outdoor. We continue to work closely with the FIH to provide the public with the preferred choice in field hockey synthetic turf systems.

The FIH serves as the 'guardian' of the sport. It works in co-operation with both the national and continental organisations to ensure consistency and unity in hockey around the world. The FIH not only regulates the sport, but is also responsible for its development and promotion so as to guarantee a secure future for hockey.

NFHCA - National Field Hockey Coaches Association

AstroTurf is a proud member fo the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The NFHCA is a non-profit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey.

The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
